Ilona’s art courses are designed for students who want a structured way to learn fine art realism, whether they are complete beginners or more experienced artists looking to refine their skills.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s individual goals and experience level. Students receive step-by-step guidance, practical exercises and personalised feedback to help them develop confidence and improve their drawing skills. Sessions are conducted online via Zoom and can focus on specific areas of interest or follow a structured learning path.
The courses guide students through the process of creating realistic, atmospheric drawings, with a focus on technique, observation and confidence. Rather than rushing into detail, students learn how to build a drawing properly from the first sketch through to the final shadows, textures and finishing touches.
Students learn the fundamental skills that underpin realistic artwork, including proportion, values, layering, blending, texture and observation.
Course topics may include:
• Beginner realism drawing
• Portrait drawing
• Graphite techniques
• Charcoal drawing
• Light and shadow
• Realistic textures
• Fabric, skin and hair
• Atmospheric portraiture
• How to create finished fine art pieces
